Recruited to drive go-to market strategy for pioneering new digital marketing technology. Challenged to develop approach for marketing directly to corporations, as opposed to company’s usual agency-only sales strategy. Initially hired as a sole contributor before earning 2 promotions in 18 months. Currently lead team of 16 sales professionals with accountability for growing revenue from Fortune 50 client base that includes J&J, Nestle, Frito-Lay, PepsiCo, Purina, Starbucks, and P&G. Serve on multiple senior-level leadership committees and industry panels.

Grew new business from zero to $20M in less than one year, with further exponential growth expected and team doubling in size accordingly.

Developed product marketing and sales strategy to penetrate new market, and trained all sales teams nationally, with product launching successfully as a market leader (subsequently copied by 4 competitors).

Secured the company’s first-ever multimillion-dollar deals with direct clients, signing the first contract only 120 days after hire.

 ELECTRONIC ARTS (EA SPORTS) – Minneapolis, MN – 2008-2013 – Senior Director, Global Brand Marketing and Interactive Solutions (2010-2013)

Managed strategy and development of global brand, partnerships and licensing opportunities for EA Sports. Also led product development of dynamic and static technology/shopper marketing efforts, managing multi-million-dollar marketing relationships with clients such as Dr. Pepper, Snapple Group, General Mills, McDonalds and P&G.

Developed multiple award-winning branded content campaigns, winning Cannes Lion, Effie Worldwide award, promaxbda sports marketing awards and ANA/BAA Reggie’s.

Reinvented partnerships within the shopper marketing and trade space, driving an estimated $250M in value.

Identified as high-potential executive with selection to Global Top 30 (out of 10,000 employees).

Improved communication and engagement between the Orlando office and HQ, thus earning respect for the team throughout the organization.

Interactive Entertainment Solutions Director (2008-2010)

Set strategic direction and managed the opening of the Midwest Sales office for the company’s Global Media Sales division. Directed team in capitalizing on new and existing revenue opportunities for all EA properties, including social gaming, EA flagship titles (e.g. Madden), and mobile applications. Oversaw multimillion-dollar, brand-new multimedia programs with Fortune 500 companies. Managed team of 4 and $12 million annual budget.

Recognized as the driving force in securing the 2 largest sponsorship deals ($5 million with Dr. Pepper and $2 million with Doritos) in the history of the industry within first 6 months. Grew new business by $12 million in 18 months (a 200% revenue increase).

Repaired strained internal relationships and collaborated successfully with partnership marketing team to gain access to decision-makers worldwide.

Worked directly with the team on targeting 10 clients for upfront deals, leading to 3 contracts valued at over $8 million. Led the nation in upfront sales deals, beating teams in much larger markets.

Generated revenues successfully across 35 game titles and 5 separate platforms, partnering on multimillion-dollar relationships with Old Spice, Sprint and McDonalds as well as Dr. Pepper and Doritos.

BANKRATE – Chicago, IL – 2006-2008 – Director of Sales

Held full responsibility for $20 million in annual revenues, including the company’s 2 largest accounts. Directed management of ~45 clients ranging from Fortune 500 industry leaders to small mortgage brokers. Tasked with launching Midwest office and hiring top talent who understood financial terms and rates.

Drove increase in revenues from $6 million to $20 million within a 2-year period. Captured $7 million in new revenues within year 1 through the capture of high-profile clients such as Charles Schwab, AT&T, Discover Financial Services, Ford Motor Company, and BMW.

Leveraged agency and client relationships to achieve 200+% over goal per quarter for 6 consecutive quarters, increasing new business 500% and transforming non-client into $4 million annual account.

Led team to become the first in the company to work with non-financial clients, with an uncompromising focus on client education and relationship building. Won business from the Detroit automotive market including Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, and GM.

Generated sales for and by marketing to direct response and branding agencies. Worked jointly with senior management on product strategies and initiatives that impacted online sales growth and activity. Sat in on development meetings to provide input on ad-related solutions.

Spearheaded personal sales increase from $1.6 million to $2.7 million within first year of tenure while concurrently leading ad sales team and operations. Earned the National Salesperson of the Year award in December of 2004 for “Outstanding Achievement.”
